That's why the Wii sucks and Nintendo needs to advance with the times.
But it's for families and OMG MOMZ CAN'T HAVE DERE WIDDLE BABIEZ PLAYIND TO MANY GAMEZ AT 1 TIEM!
That's what I think of their file space. The Wii is sickeningly child friendly to the point there's no OFF button for it. But since Nintendo can make plenty of money off the psycho parents of today that think Pokemon is evil and sends the wrong messages, why should they care about convenience for the average gamer?
All three consoles (Wii, 360, PS3) have a soft power button. (That is, it puts the console in standby mode instead of turning it off.) I'm not quite sure why you're claiming the Wii doesn't have a power button, because it most certainly does. The front panel has Power, Reset, [disc slot], and Eject.
In fact, the Wii's power button is clearly labeled "Power", whereas the 360's power button simply has a power symbol. I guess Microsoft wanted their console to be "sickeningly child friendly," since they assumed kids couldn't read. Not to mention that the Wii's power button is around the size of half a dime, whereas the 360's power button is huge, making it more kid-friendly than the Wii.
EDIT: "OMG MOMZ CAN'T HAVE DERE WIDDLE BABIEZ PLAYIND TO MANY GAMEZ AT 1 TIEM!" - since when did the other consoles support multitasking? And why would you want to be playing multiple games at the same time on a console anyway, considering none of them have more than one CRTC?
(Incidentally, Wii actually *does* support multitasking - if you're running Wii Linux, that is. You can't run Linux on the 360, and Sony recently killed Linux support on PS3. Looks like there's only one console left.)
