Bumping this up. 4Kids now has all 78 episodes up on Hulu, Subtitled. That is all.

The Sonic Adventure and SA2 arcs are pretty good, if you got this far in Sonic X you'll probably enjoy them. I did and I didn't have subs when I saw them =P

I watched through all 52 episodes and I did not had subs either. So I quite enjoyed what I saw. This stuff brings back such a lovely memories from my childhood. I remember when I was in a forum called SonicAnime.net, there was someone called Solli, who uploaded every new Sonic episode on every wednesday? Hard to remember the date but I know it was in 2003ish and I knew the date she/he uploads a new episode so I looked very forward to new episodes. I woke up in the morning, I remember it was very dark as it was around 7:00 and asap downloaded the real player rm file to watch before school.

If I'm correct, I still own all the episodes on CD somewhere, but most are the RM files sad.png. I never forget that time of my life when I waited so unpatiently a new day to see new episode of Sonic X and trying to wake up so early in the morning and went into a Sonic X topic to see has Solli uploaded new ep. (there was new topic made for every new Sonic X episode something like Sonic X episode 31: blabla) Even if I did not understand a word what they were saying, I still loved it. I tried to sorta figure out what they were thinking or saying, sometimes I understood by the action, rarely by the talking.

I feel old.... sad.png

That'd be Solly, no? She was French.

Also:

v.png One of these days I'll get around to actually watching subbed the ones I didn't originally. And 53-78 in general!

I wish someone could rip 27-78 from Hulu (with Japanese audio and English subtitles) for people who don't live in the US. I know I might be able to find a proxy and whatnot, but a collection of Megaupload links would be awesome.

You could find it on youtube without being in the US. Also you can check torrents if you want to have it on your hd.

Seconding this statement, but I wish somebody ripped ALL of the episodes. I've only watched the ones Puto released way back.

Neo: you're right, I double checked, and I have only episodes 1-26, so I edited my post above, since I am actually looking for episodes 27-78, or at least 27-52 to begin with.
I remember I got episodes 1-26 from Megaupload, that's why I expected the new ones were put there as well.

Yep Solly, that's it. I should watch Sonic X again just to remembering the childhood and memories I had with it.

I can't stand watching cartoons in japanese when there are perfectly good english dubs out there. Naruto is the one thing I'd watch because it really is awful in english and NEEDS that japanese there, as it makes sense for the culture and look of the show. I also don't understand how people can watch things like Dragon Ball Z in anything but their native language, and if you're english speaking, the english version is awesome quality and the voices and soundtrack rock, and even if you dislike the american one, the japanese track can be chosen anyway- I see videos like that all the time.

Sonic X in english is no different. I like to pay attention to what's going on, not the subs. Maybe one day they'll release the english sub, change all the shit they messed up on (like Chaos Control being the name of Eggman's fortress) and give us the original soundtrack, which is far superior.

You just logic bomb'd my brain here.

(To clarify, you just said that a dub which took a ton of liberties with dialog and voice direction, and replaced all the BGM, was better than a straight dub.)

Now, as for the Sonic X eps.... if I had a working Desktop again...

So your saying that sonic X english is superior then naruto english? I know naruto english has got its problems but saying SX ENG is superior over that decent quality dub is just mind boggling!

Tell that to the DAIZEX fanboys, they think everything is inferior to their god tier japanese dub. and they hate funi with a raging passion even after funi has changed its ways with dubbing.

And they did release the english sub for sonic X, its what this topic is all about. specialed.png

English dub* is what I meant. And yeah, I'm saying that Sonic X's dub is better than Naruto's v.png

Also, Funimation are spot on with their work. I can't bear to watch the Japanese run of Dragon Ball Z.

I hate the Sonic X dub. Shadows sounds "fabulous" and Sonic just sounds wrong.
