Everyone knows that Big the Cat is the only good character out of the entire franchise. Hell, he beats out Sonic! Seriously, who DOESN'T want "Big Heroes" or "Big Adventure 2"?!

On Topic: I don't mind if there are no more characters added, I'm just happy we have new events.

With that Big & Petey at the Special Olympics pic floating around, I'm surprised they haven't been included.

Wow the graphics look great and the events actually look like a lot of fun. I'm loving the homages to past Sonic and Mario games such as Windy Valley and Yoshi's Story. I loved Yoshi's Story as a kid and Windy Valley is one of my favorite levels in Sonic Adventure. I hope this doesn't mean Windy Valley is cut from Generations but then again it also doesn't mean anything.

Seeing Sonic riding a horse is hilarious and reminds me of Epona from Zelda for some odd reason perhaps because the horse looks more realistic next to Mario and Sonic making them look silly on the horse. I forgot that TaeKwonDo is in the summer Olympics and this picture is a indication this game may have it which makes me very excited.

I've been doing TaeKwonDo for years and love the sport and to see Sonic sparring and doing martial arts with other characters brings a massive smile to my face lol. You can even see the Korean flag in this picture for more indication. What Mario and Sonic are doing looks like Korean Grappling Hap Ki Do to me too. This game looks like it may be a lot of fun so now I'm actually looking forward to this as well.

I hope we get some new characters again. Marine would be a nice addition to the 3D games.

Why Marine? Why not much cooler characters like Chip or Chris Thorndyke?

I'm not sure if you're serious or trolling very, very hard.

If you get a small joy out of hurting Chris. Made by Roger

Am I the only one that thinks there are too many Wenlock ballons? I've never seen one mascot art in Vancouver, and I only vaguely remember some from Beijing. If Wenlock was that passionate maybe he'd join in. You'd almost expect it to be playable. I mean, Sonic is much faster than the puny human Bolt (in theory). But then again, I heard a fat human puny plumber named Mario beat him last time.

That looks like a lower-res version of Sonic's brawl model. I can get behind that. It had some of the best animations Sonic's ever had in 3D, since he was always moving he didn't look as awkward.

I know, I know, it's an Olympic event so of course it was going to be added in as an event for Mario, Sonic, and all their friends to participate it.

Still doesn't stop it from looking extremely goofy.

That said, you're now picturing Bowser on that horse.

He'll probably ride a beefier horse, one that can sustain that kind of weight. Like Ganondorf's or something.

Except then you'd have Yoshi riding Yoshi.

Peripheral once planned for Mario & Sonic 3.

QUOTE
"In the very early stage of this project, we even considered creating a new peripheral that works - that matches best for this game" the developer told VideoGamer. "We always try to look for new alternatives or possibilities."

A little interesting tid-bit of information, there. Personally I'm quite glad they decided to ditch it- peripherals are a bad idea 80% of the time. It sounds to me like they were simply trying anything they could to make this third game stand out from the others (as releasing more of the same gets boring quick, in my books.)

I liked Chip. He was amusing. Can't really seeing him doing anything but being an announcer.

Wait a minute. Him trying to ride horse and do Tae Kwon Do would be hilarious! Imagine getting taken down by a tiny pixie-winged chihuahua in a Korean martial arts bout.

I know, I know. He had his place in Unleashed, he's done. Doesn't need to come back. I can dream.

OK, I'm going to leave this here for reference so it isn't unintentionally done again - the Rainbow Dash 'shopping has been done, go see the MLP thread. =P

We now resume your regularly scheduled Olympic mascot cashin thread, already in progress.

Is anyone else getting sick of these cardboard cut out audience... not sure, but is there any other wii games out there with audiences that don't look this bad or is it just a wii limitation I will have to grin and bear with?
