Most people I've heard name the company say it as "Siga". I'm not being clever either, they literally think that Sega is pronounced like that.

Screwed me up the first time I head someone say "Line-Ux" (as Linux is meant to be) instead of my normal pronunciation of "Lyn-Ux" (Like Lynx).. WTF!

(I still say Lyn-Ux, it's stuck in my head!)

Heheheh, just what I was about to say. Just listen to the SEGA word in the Sonic games.

By the way, this should be in "Members Lounge".

It's sort of like Say-ga, but the first vowel isn't quite so bright. It's halfway between "say" and the Greek eta (Latin long e).

Easy way to remember:

Fanboys say "Gah" about the new products.
