Try the "quicksave" F3. That's what I use since I never figure out how to proceed in the other way.

While we are on the case of buttons not working...

Why is it that in SonED2 the "F4" (switch between full screen) button doesn't work on my desktop computer but does on my laptop..?

Assemble it back into a ROM, or use hex to manually insert it.

Works for me, and it's already mirrored at http://www.hacking-cult.org/?utils.

Not exactly. They never updated from 1.0, so the fixes listed in this thread aren't available there. The only error you should recieve from this file is "no offsite linking", not "does not exist". Once the browser switches to the Emulationzone server, reload the same URL

Argh - thanks, I got it now - could've sworn I had tried the copy+paste link thing before.

Random Question: If I put S2+K in the s2 folder and split it - would it work right and allow me to make levels for it using SonEd? I'm guessing probably not, but I'm new to the sonic hacking scene and have been surprised before.

Hello there, in reguards to your question about sonic 2+K No I don't think this works as when the extra code for knuckles is present it alters the offsetts of the rom. I think that there is a couple of ways around this, the first is to use Soned2 on a plain sonic 2, edit your levels rebuild and then join or "lock on" sonic and knuckles the second would be to use a dissasembley of sonic 2+K and create the apropriate templates/project files for Soned2.... The only problem I see with that is I don't think there is a S2+K dissasembley publicly available yet. I could be wrong as I am new to this and have just started learning ASM by experimenting with the Sonic 1 Dissasembly so if anybody could confirm what I have said?

Oh and before I go, I would like to say Hello to Stealth (I am Adam Lips - The guy who has been working with your mettrix engine) !!!

Well, you need to combine the files, because they are in two sets, therefore you need to open a hex editor
and copy all the data from the second set to the first set and save. Other than that you may need to use TSDC to compress the files. But then again I could be wrong.

To fix Green Hill make sure you're using V1.02 of SonED 2 aswell as Decompress the split patterns and merge them and compress and link them in the Project files, It should then work. SonED 2 had some bugs in the previous versions that stopped S1 from opening in cases.

    Quick question.
SonED 2 requires the Green Hill Zone art to be merged in order to actually load. However you can't build up a Sonic 1 disassembly with the merged patterns.
How would you go about properly separating the two files and putting them back into the ROM? I just tried to separate the files, and then I put them back into the ROM... the title screen got fucked up and it froze before I got onto the level D:

Modify the dissasembly to use only the one merged art file.

(You will need to edit the pattern load ques.)
