Resetting a tablet PC to factory settings without the recovery disk?

    So, I managed to nab a used Fujitsu Lifebook T4215 from a coworker for cheap. Like, really cheap. Some changes need to be made to it, of course. Namely, resetting it to factory settings. The previous owner installed the Windows 8 Beta on it, which I dislike, and which also has very little support for the tablet functions of the computer in question. The previous owner could not supply me with a recovery disk, and this Lifebook lacks the recovery partition most come with nowadays. I've checked Fujitsu's site, and they only have the drivers (although, I suppose I could just do a fresh install of Windows XP Tablet Edition and put them on there), and I cannot find a recovery utility online.

    Since I'm pretty retarded in concern to knowing what's best for a computer (beyond defragmenting the harddrive), I figured I'd ask here before I started looking around and downloading things that I may not need.

    See what license sticker is under the laptop and download the approporiate ISO somewhere, just pay attention it is non hacked otherwise the license can get blacklisted which is not really great. Recovery discs are worthless IMO

    It's apparently made for XP Tablet Edition, although the I think I only have an OEM license for it in the case of this computer. Meaning, that getting an install disc for it might not help my problems. Also, the BIOS are locked down (it's using Phoenix), and I'm currently unable to find a way to reset the password for them E_E;;

    OEM license has always installed in my cases. I do it very often at work and I've yet to experience any problem with OEM licenses.

    For BIOS password reset there might be a jumper under RAM. Many laptops don't though, in those cases I remove the CMOS battery for a while but this requires disassembly of the whole machine in most cases.

    Yeah, the BIOS is causing me some issues, as the computer won't boot from a CD (I think the Drive might be broken, which only pisses me off in THIS case, as I was just going to use removable media with the computer in question ANYWAYS.); and I need to get into the BIOS to set it to boot from US, which.. it won't let me do because of the whole password thing.
