This video is bullshit. Sonic lacks the mustache.

EDIT: Assuming this will get trashed I'll say something else :V

It seems a LOT of stuff was cut out at some point. The plot seems kinda slapdashed even though some people like that. But truthfully, it seems the CGI previews they made were meant to be used in the game itself and not just for a few seconds in promotional videos, especially since some of them later on were shown to have more video inside them. Another thing: The two Sonics meet up with eachother in Green Hill Zone as the Time Eater is looming overhead. That scene ended up not being used in the game. Shame; that was actually a pretty cool render/scene overall.

It turns out the hint of what appeared to be Apotos from Sonic Unleashed in that Japanese commercial a couple weeks back was a clever ruse. Via a comment left on an earlier story here, we have scans from the Spanish Official Nintendo Magazine review of Sonic Generations 3DS, and it clarifies Water Palace from Sonic Rush and NOT Apotos is the last stage to be revealed in-game.

All seven stages, and the special stage, are covered in the four page spread, and if you were worried about the game playing worse than its console counterpart–we certainly were–those fears can ease a bit. The magazine gave Generations for 3DS a 90 percent score, among the best of both versions.

We have scans of the review, which include screenshots, in the gallery below. They appear to be courtesy of Spanish forum Sonic Ages, as we learned when our friends at Sonic Paradise were actually writing this up as we were!

Welp, looks like we've been faked out. And before you complain about the source, note the Official Nintendo Magazine pics; more specifically, the third one. It's not letting me link it.

That's cause it's from Cutefluffykittens. Everything you type in T S S Z it turns into cutefluffykittens. But yes, Water Palace. Huh. I guess if the Tropical Resort is from Sonic Colors DS then I guess he wasn't exactly lying.

Also according to Cutefluffykittens they say that VGChartz says that this game tanked in it's second week because of all the other AAA titles that came out. Of course, Cod gets 6.5 mil sales in one day, Sonic get's 45,000 in a week. Makes perfect sense.

Neither TSSZ nor VGChartz are especially reliable, though.

No but is there anyway to get info on sales?

Eh I guess sales aren't significant enough for Sega to go running around screaming them at the top of their lungs. Activision would just laugh at them and spit on their hopes and dreams

Either NPD numbers or from SEGA themselves.

So what is Cutefluffykittens?

Also did anyone notice how in Modern Sonic's Blaze challenge, she actually appears as Burning Blaze?

Tropical Resort has a wisp exclusive for the DS version -the red burst- so yes it's based on the DS version.

I wish the PC version had a little more graphics settings, like view distance and fps, but maybe I just need a better computer.

The game is really enjoyable, but too short. Story Mode completed in less than 4 hours.

I second this, would also be nice to disable the background distance blur shader effect when you start moving fast as classic sonic. Possibly other shader effects too, I might be able to run this game at a much more playable speed on my macbook air then :P

Took me 8 hours to finish the game at a casual pace, doing about a quarter of the challenges. Some of these are really well designed! But whats up with like, having about 600+ seconds time limit on some of them? They don't take anywhere near that long lol.

Also I'm terribly curious about what will Cash Cash do with Back to Back for the classic version?
