Haha. That is hilarious!

But yeah, the whole game in that style would be very funny.

I could watch Mr. Needlemouse's balancing animation all day. His spring-jump sprite could do with more arm-waving, though.

The only suggestion I can make is try to rework the enemy and/or level art into the same style, not change anything major just make it kinda fit y'know?

Actually, I do plan to do this.

Anyone find it slightly odd that after I get banned for saying that I think that all hacks that don't have sonic the hedgemong in them are bullshit, someone releases a hack with just that in it? Just me?

I think it's just pure coincidence... A funny one at that I might add.

Actually, I'm reworking most poses, since almost all of them are the same as Sonic's, and that's actually what I planned to do with the spring-jump. :P

Edit:

I need some help. I'm changing the Roller badnik's art, but I don't know how to fix the garbled caterkiller graphics that Roller load. Since my ASM isn't very good, I don't know what is causing it to load those graphics.

To fix the Roller animation frame you've got to remove the PLC (pattern load cue) for the caterkiller.
Open the pattern load cues ASM file (it should be in the _inc folder), and delete this (its located under PLC_SYZ2)

dc.l Nem_Cater; caterkiller enemy
 dc.w $9FE0

I tried it on more than one split and it still comes up as that.

Make sure you change the number of PLCs for that level after you remove those lines.

Change:

Syntax Highlighted Code: ASM
PLC_SYZ2:	dc.w 7

to

Syntax Highlighted Code: ASM
PLC_SYZ2:	dc.w 6

Haha, that looks awesome! The 'fake' Sonic looks fittingly shiny! I suppose it would be a robot, anyway.

I read on a VG magazine that Mr. Needlemouse was a beta name for Sonic (Sorry if it is false. I searched the wiki but could not find any information on this). You got the concept from that?

A hedgehog in Japanese is harinezumi, literally "needlemouse".

Wikipedia said:

Eventually, Naoto Ìshima's spiky cerulean hedgehog, initially codenamed "Mr Needlemouse",[3] was chosen as the new mascot. Sonic's blue pigmentation was chosen to match Sega's blue logo. A group of fifteen started working on Sonic the Hedgehog, and renamed themselves Sonic Team. The game's soundtrack was composed by Masato Nakamura of the band Dreams Come True. Sega sponsored the group's "Wonder 3" tour, painting Sonic on the tour bus, distributing pamphlets advertising the game, and having footage of the game broadcast above stage prior to its release.[9]

So yeah, Wikipedia says that too.

Alright, haven't done much work in the past week. I'm going to change all of the badnik art into something along the lines of concept art and early art such as a lot of the pic on the CulT page, and there's this picture on Sonic Gems Collection, pic 300 in the museum I think, that has a whole bunch of weird monsters and Robotnik in a bee suit. So I'm using some of those as well.

I'm still stuck on weather I should put Spindash in or not.

Also, does anyone know of a better upload site than Megaupload?

That looks wonderful. Do you plan on making any level art changes as well?

As for hosting, I suggest FileDen.
