Not bad......though his outfit seems sorta flashy and bright for the 'darker' personality they seem to have given him here. I really love the scene's background and environment as well.
Might have been good if he wasn't Batman. Costume looks fine. He makes a great Eggman, aesthetics-wise.
I saw part of the Mega Man one and I thought it was amazing. For a certain sense of the word amazing, at least. I think I need to see this at some point but it's not a high priority for me.
The breaths he took in-between words was a bit distracting, but other than that, he actually sounded pretty intimidating and the monologue was surprisingly well written! Good to know this project isn't dead. Consider me optimistic!
I'm sure giving Eggman Batman's voice while not changing his appearence a lot will make him a lot more interesting. I barely ever stop fully watching a film. Eddie's Mega Man movie is the only movie I gave up on after 15-20 minutes.
Which Batman? I suppose I could see Kevin Conroy as Eggman, but Christian Bale or Adam West as Eggman would just be silly. ...actually, scratch that last one, Adam West as Eggman would be awesome.
Here's a picture of me on the Egg Carrier, I just did an interview with Eddie on set that'll go online in the next few days. The set blew my mind how cool it was in person, I'm not gonna talk about what they showed me, but it's REALLY cool what they've been working on.
Congrats on finding a way to wear that shirt w/o feeling like a complete loser. An overshirt is key! I should have purchased that Sonic shirt when I had the chance....maybe it's still in stores. Looks like they are going balls out on this movie, I can't wait!
Wear whatever the hell you want to wear. I've seen "thugz" walking around with Tellytubby shirts on for Christ's sake. Wear the fucking shirt. Oh yea, that Eggman is pretty cool too.
I have about seven sonic shirts, I usually wear flannels or zip up hoodies with them, mostly because I like to downplay whatever t-shirt I'm wearing. That sonic shirt especially is very loud, my other ones are more subtle, but it was a gift so I like it. Wearing something over it tones down the shirt itself. In the end it comes down to how you want to express yourself, if you think it makes you look like a loser thats only because you don't feel that it's representing you the way you wanna be represented, so you should wear it in a way that IS you. I wish I'd known that in high school, I always felt like a loser even though I dressed like the popular kids because I wasn't really being me. Back on topic, Robotnik's like a mix of SatAM and 06 to me, and thats why I dig it. We saw how Eddie Lebron interprets a goofy villain with a more serious hero in Mega Man, now with Sonic we get to see him do a silly hero with a serious villain. I don't mean AoStH silly, but from the teaser I felt Sonic had more of a SatAM feel to him. Not saying anything based on what I've seen that hasn't already been shown, so don't twist my words around to make it seem like I'm in the know. All I know is this is gonna be one of those really well done fan films, whether you agree that the content is good or not, production values are at an all time high for this thing.
I don't understand. Is this dude trying to get critical acclaim for this? A movie based on Megaman or Sonic requires a large budget for special effects, it just does. Judging from watching Megaman (I actually watched the entire thing), this guy does not have the means to pull it off.
It's his own interpretation. Story, effects, etc. Let him do what he wants. Short films aren't about what kind of budget that you have. Look at the Mega Man movie he did. He pulled that off amazingly. Why? Because the story was good. People are going to be drawn into it because of the story. Who cares if he doesn't have a Hollywood budget? He got Jaleel White to do the voice of Sonic. That in itself is one reason why I want to watch t. The other is because Eddie's a great story teller. It's not going to be bad because of the effects, or anything like that. It has a potential to be bad because of the story, which I'm sure is great, too.
For me a good Eggman/Robotnik is one that is funny silly but mean and efficient (well except with sonic) An totally evil Dr. don't suit for me, like SATAM for example. I love SATAM, I like the freedom fighters, I like Robotropolis, I love the animation style and atmosphere. But I can't like Robotnik there, his design his hideous, his voice is always on the same tone (character problem not voice actor) , he's only like "I'm Evil because I'm Evil", and I turn everything into metal magically wooo. The sad and cruel truth... He's Just like every generic 90's cartoon villain I only sympathized with him when he was talking with the King in the past, just because he actually made an effort on his voice tone to trick him in a believable way. Hell, Snively have buckets of more personality, for me just the screen with bad french cuisine is priceless. Just (I)MO. Now more in topic, I actually enjoyed to some extend the Mega Man movie, and I will give a shot to this one, and I totally believe whatever Eddie do with the characters it's possible to come right.
