I have a USB game controller, but I have a game, (Jazz Jackrabbit 2) that will not respond to it. Does anyone out there know of some kind of virtual driver out there that can route a USB game device to a game port address?
Not sure about a gameport, but you can use Joy2Key to map the Joystick buttons to keyboard buttons. http://sourceforge.net/projects/joy2key/
I use JoyToKey. It's the only way my Genesis controller will work with anything that's not an emulator. And yes, it's for Windows.
I didn't have any problem using my USB gamepad with JJ2 the last time I played it on XP. No game for Windows ever accesses hardware directly. Anything that Windows recognizes as a joystick should work. Have you checked that Windows detects your gamepad properly?
its worth checking if the gamepad/joystick is being 1st, sometimes that is causing trouble.... I have 3 or so installed in my PC, and I have to set their orders if I want something specific to work.
