An idea for a hack. Sonic in Knuckles Chaotix!

Yeah, someone tried overwriting Mighty's graphics with Sonic's from Crackers (the graphics match exactly) but it didn't work IIRC.

Well, that sucks. Would it be possible to redo Mighty's sprites to be like Sonic, pixel be pixel? It would be tedious, but for those of us that don't have a life... ;)

Why not first a Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog 1 (One that actually has Knuckles gliding)?

People don`t seem to pay too much attention to Chaotix. Perhaps the Sprites are compressed making it difficult to edit them.

That's like opening a tin can with a spanner when there's a can opener lying next to you. Too much work for little net gain. It's easier to try and add Sonic's sprites from Crackers since they're ready-made and match exactly.

Don't bother. Stick to Sonic 1, 2 and possibly 3K.

What DID go wrong when the person tried to overwrite Mighty's sprites with Sonic's? If it's a compression issue, it would be possible to deal with... wouldn't it?

I think I've missed something... Who cracked the compression format for the graphics and when?

The sprites are stored in a format that is not supported by TLP and hasn't been cracked yet.

I remember when I once had plans to replace Wechnia's sprites with Amy, but I can't unfortunately.
