Noticed this article that came out yesterday https://venturebeat.com/2017/10/30/sonic-the-hedgehogs-lifetime-game-sales-zoom-to-360-million/

Wonder how Sonic Mania has done in sales and how Forces is going to perform.

Does this number include downloads of free mobile games like Dash? Cause those aren't nearly as interesting.

It's a figure for both packaged and digital games, so yes.

I mean if Sonic Mania had sold 10 million copies you'd have heard about it by now :v:

It doesn't go into much details, but in another part of the report they include Puyo Puyo Quest for that series, so I'm assuming mobile games went into that 360 million number.

Well, back in 2015 Dash had been downloaded 100million times and was getting 14 million unique players a month.

I want to know the numbers with F2P games disregarded.

These figures also include whenever a Sonic game was packaged with a console or sold in almost-free Humble Bundles, don't they?

A 2011 VideoGamer.com article said the series had sold over 80 million units.

A brief calculation of listed of notable retail games and digital games of the sales of games I quickly did does come relatively close to that.
