I am having problems running and installing the codec on x64 Vista. I have tried installing the .inf file which it does so but the videos will not play on my system. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be grateful.

You may need to ask Steve Snake to compile a 64-bit version.

You could always use FFmpeg / FFplay which includes support for KGV or MPlayer which uses the FFmpeg core and runs a bit faster than FFplay (optimized?).

32-bit codecs play just fine on 64-bit Windows, but I think it requires that the software you're using also be 32-bit.

The codec should work fine on 64-bit Windows, it did when I first tested it for Snake a few years ago. When I tested it last, videos were working fine in Windows Media Player - not sure about any other media players. It's probably easier just to convert the video to another format using VirtualDub.

About that... the only format I could ever get it 'converted' to was uncompressed video. This is obviously hard to bite down when you're lacking in HDD space. AviSynth would refuse to have a bar of the source AVI, additionally.
