Sega and Sanrio are teaming up for a series of character collaborations. The first product to result from the partnership shouldn't be too surprising:
This Sonic x Hello Kitty Super Jumbo Plushy will be available in late July at Sega amusement facilities throughout Japan. The item is meant to commemorate the long awaited July 14 reopening of Sega's Tokyo Joyopolis facility.
Sega says that it will be staging this collaboration project worldwide starting in Summer 2013.

What an adorable monstrosity. I don't even care much for Hello Kitty, but I think I need to have that. I can't wait to see the other ridiculous collaborations. Knuckles + Badtz-Maru would make me absolutely giddy.

Can someone explain to me why a Sonic/Hello Kitty crossover plush looks so much better than any of the regular Sonic plushies we get? Like, I bought the big 20th Anniversary Classic Sonic plush, but I definitely felt like I was settling just because I didn't know if I'd get another chance to buy a Classic Sonic one. It just baffles me.

It's probably not being made by Sega. I've never heard of Sanrio, but it must be being made by them.

Now just give it a little foam Mega Buster and a Mario cap, and we have an unholy union of Japanese mascots.

I don't know, the spikes look pretty fucked up on this one to me (Should have gone the classic Sonic route honestly, Hello Kitty's design works better with it)
Butttt besides that... well ain't that something.

This is the next in the storybook series. Probably would be a better crossover story than sonic and the Arabian Nights or Arthurian legend.

And then Froggy was seamlessly replaced with
Kerokero Keroppi. And nobody noticed.

I'd buy this, if I wasn't afraid of it single-handedly crushing any form of masculinity I once had.
Pretty cool, though. :V

We live in a world where there are literally tons of bronies. I don't think this will question your masculinity any worse then that.
Besides, if anything, you'd be buying this for the novelty. It's something rare that isn't made every day, and it's not like you'll be having tea parties with it everyday or however people play with plushies. It would probably become nothing more than a display piece.

No, If you are going to buy this, a tea party is a necessity.
