So you based your hack on someone elses. I hope you got their permission first.

Ordos said the file is corrupt.

Convenient for him eh? Pretenders just piss off the regulars.

Last time I checked, Sonic 2 redone used the mentioned patch.

    A Sonic the Hedgehog hack
So I opened a clean Sonic the Hedgehog 2 rom with a hex editor and started to fix the collision for HPZ. I went to $4A0C and changed 0004 5A80 to 0004 3C10. Could someone upload the Hidden Palace Zone collison data file on mediafire.com? I've checked the topic in the archive but the attachments didn't work. Media Fire works fine, though.

Its honestly a whole lot easier to restore HPZ in ASM than it is in Hex. :P

Do people even use all hex anymore? I think this topic is more confusing the helpful..

Maybe it can be un-archived now?

I don't see a point in removing things from the archive. It's counter productive, if you ask me.

Remove from the archive? Not a good idea, if you ask me.
Lock perhaps? As the primary question has been answered more than once, we will avoid 1-year bumps...

I agree with nineko on this one, the issue has been answered more than enough times, anymore discussion on it is unlikely also, so locking the topic is probably for the best.

It is? What do I need to do to restore it in ASM?

On a serious note: Study the ASM coding between the Sonic 2 Beta and the Sonic 2 Final, If you look well enough, you can find out what you need.

How diffucult would it be to implement this HPS restoring tutorial to Sonic 2 betas 4 - 8?

I don't see why you would want to use this outdated tutorial for restoring HPZ to the other betas. It'd be a lot easier do in ASM, if/when disassemblies come out for the betas.

I agree with Skaarg on this one, a tutorial for this in ASM would be much better, and easier at that.
