All Seaside Hill Act 2 speedruns are now worthless: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQrd7Mr4b0Q Unless you don't count speedruns using skills. :v:
Currently playing the steam version: add me. Currently #1 for PC speed highway act 2, that stage is really REALLY fun to speed run.
Here is my Steam profile: http://steamcommunity.com/id/timmit9/ I haven't played much of the game yet because of issues with the game's config not liking Optimus Technology (for which recently a workaround has been found).
As I was saying in the other topic, a friend from the SRB2 forums - one of the best TrackMania players in the world, incidentally - currently holds the best rank for Crisis City Act 1 on the Steam version. A good 30 second lead on second place, too.
My updated Crisis City Act 2 time: 1:44:91- currently the world record on Xbox Live by a good 10 seconds or so. Good luck matching this one, suckers! I don't want to touch this stage for awhile. Also, my new Speed Highway Act 2 time is 1:39:58
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ISw3fuD8dA Guess who broke Metal Sonic~ (Bosses count, right?) (The Broken part is the second hit. It's really ass to do it but it saves 20 seconds if you do hit him.) EDIT: Planet Wisp Act 1: 2:39.28
XBL Gamertag: Cyrus Parker I'm a big fan of the 30 second trial, mainly cause that's less time for me to mess up. I'm not really any good at speedrunning, all I tend to do is spindash, jump, and hope I do something sweet, but I still have fun with it.
XBL: omgNova My 30-second trial for GHZ Act 2 is about 205 I think. Time on the ranked boards is 1'49'something but I did manage 1'41'60 with skills equipped. Still trying to shave a few seconds off. A tip for Crisis City Act 2, when you hit boost at the start, just hold it and jump across the gap - you'll have enough speed to hit the last bird enemy, allowing you to boost straight up to the ramp and then begin the next part. EDIT: GHZ Act 2 Ranking Attack is at 1:48.59. :v:
Updated as usual. Anywho, once I can wake up and not feel like blarging on the inside, imma try to finish up my times at last. Might as well, right? :v:

No one would mind if we shared Casino Night Pinball high scores, would they? It isn't exactly speedrunning, but it's still quite a lot of fun and I'd love to see how I'm doing compared to everyone else. I've really only aimed for a high score with Classic Sonic, so feel free to laugh at my Modern score. Classic: 022190 Modern: 004020 EDIT: Classic: 025250 Modern: 033550 Going to play a bit with Modern and see if I can't bump that up a bit. That's almost sad. Anyway, I'm rather pleasantly surprised with this Pinball stage. I figured it'd just be the main board pictured on Gamestop's website, but it turns out there's all sorts of little nooks and crannies to explore. Blows Casinopolis out of the water (and let's not get started on Casino Street from Sonic 4 iOS :v: ). In fact, I don't feel bad about saying this is actually one of my favorite parts of Generations. Perhaps I just need to play more pinball. EDIT: Apparently 3 Tails lined up on the slots gives out a ton of rings. It's basically what got my Modern score so high this time. Going to see about outdoing some of your guys' times now...pah, like that will happen. Oh, almost forgot. My LIVE Gamertag is redchaoschao94
So I'm hitting about the 1:49 mark in Speed Highway, but I feel that I am missing a crucial strategy in maximizing Modern's potential. Are there any general techniques that you guys employ when speed running modern? Any ways to optimize the drift? Thanks!
Crisis City Modern is a complete bitch to speedrun, it gives you all these nice routes you can take but mess up once and you are dead, on top of that both the Iblis worms and birds can counter your homing attacks killing whatever run you were attempting. I completely love Crisis City Modern.
