There's some slowdown after the "S" bend in Palmtree Panic, if that's what you mean.

That build looks like 510 or later so I'm not sure they'd be playing with the physics at that point. It's more likely dodgy editing.

I know this is a Sonic CD Prototype topic, but I think there's something more curious in this video like "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" for Game Gear :v:

Nope, look at the Collision Chaos Zone footage (not the bad future footage) where he's running in his S-Peel Out animation between the flippers. The physics look off to me.

EDIT: And the timer is in frame so you can tell it's not slow-down.

Funny how people are just finding out videos that Xilla and me posted, I don't know.... almost 3 years ago?! :rolleyes:

Anyways, those Sonic Chaos prototypes do generate some interest. Almost everything in there differs a lot in minor ways, mostly the monitor powerups and the boss transitions that put it off for me. Also, no sound. :v:

I always found sonic Chaos to be very Sonic CD like.

The kanji in that first screenshot says 仮称, which basically means "temporary name." I think they knew full well that the "8-bit Sonic 3" they ended up making didn't really have much to do with Sonic 3 at all.

It's good to see that at one point PPZ present did have a somewhat similar layout to the other stages before they completely re-did it for the later builds. Sucks that little to no effort was put into trying to adapt that layout to the other time zones though.
