I believe this was first introduced by Fiz, but I just recently studied it. Nevertheless I have found what triggers it. First, Before and Afters: Before the Pallete Change:
OK at the beginning thier is this grey block. if you pass through it with debug it will change the pallete.
Here is the wierd part. if I pass back through it again the Pallete returns. Also, if I go above or below the object, the pallete stays the same (red)
thinks = things I think you ment :D also you'll be surprised the things you can find in sonic2 still, there are actually 3 values for his speed 1 is underwater 1 is default starting speed 1 is default OVER-ALL speed (which the underwater uses to set itself back to the default starting speed) but when you change the default starting speed, the default over-all doesn't get changed hehe :D you'll be surprised at the many things you cna probabily find
I already knew that for quite some time, most everything has been found already in S2, but just not everyone knows about it.
Altho My Discovery wasn't big, it was atleast noteworty. And Foamy, Im sure people into hacking new about that, and when I say hacking, I mean people who can do special things like hex editing, programming, ect. Examples are: local H. IceKnight, Rob Jinnai, LOst, Rika Chou, and Gerbil Soft, among other people, as well.

Yes I know, but I found that out without even really having to hack I found that out because of the shadow hack because of when I jumped in water with shadow, he went back to normal speed so. :P so everyone can stop biting my head off about knowing the water effects on speed

Ooh, neat, now I know why the pallete change happens sometimes. But there has to be other triggers besides this because in my topic about it (which is now in the archives), I said that this first occured on me when I was five years old, so I had no idea what debug was, so debug was obviously turned off. I'm not even sure how it happened. *shrug*. Random glitch.
