Hi, Aside from CO I've also been working on a SMW Hack that changes a lot in the game itself, I'll show the screens below. Right here are the Worlds, They are still in progress as I'm doing the world map first. Now here are some Level Screenshots of the First Castle. The Beginning Takes place similar to SMB1's Castle 1. The New Lava Pit with the Falling Chained Platforms make a very hard to pass Obsticle. Getting Here will be an immortal pain in the ass, This is the First area only, The Second Area leads straight upwards but it is far incomplete as it has a BG Scrolling problem. Yeah, I remember that, you showed me some screens some time ago over MSN. I'll play this for sure! So how's the actual progress? And since I know shit about Mario hacking, what are you exactly able to do with SMW (new musics, whatever)?
SMB1 and 3 Music is in my hack if I Remember Correctly, I'm going to see if I can learn about which NSPC Engine is used for SMW and see if I can learn more on how ti impliment my own music, The game's Progressed really well, the Level sectors are almost setup. After CO's got a lot done Ill be working more on this.
Are you using Lunar Magic? If not, I can say "Fucking awesome" for the world map. If you are, well it's still cool, but not as cool.
Yeah I am using Lunar Magic for the World Map, Although it lacks the main features I want to do to the World map, Such as create my own animations and such.
Couldn't you edit the map sprites in TLP, or do you mean you want to made a whole nother animation altogeather?
Haha, I remember this. This is top notch work in my opinion, and not a turd hack like so much other crap is done with LM, such as a room full of 3-ups and no way to get them. *cough cough* Fixed a verb tense.
On a side note of things for those that don't know about the Map since I couldn't animate new animations for the world map I made use of the Rotating palette for the level tiles to animate the Skull eyes and Bowser's Castle eyes.
Hm... well, it looks alright generally, though too much reliance on Super Mario All Stars rips. On the world map, I'd add coastline to the water, it looks rather strange without it in my opinion... and is that dungeon level the first level? It looks good, but if that's the first level I shudder at what the last one will be...
World map art is incomplete for the time being, and the Castle isn't the first level but I warn you Boo Tower will be the most devestatingly hard level aside from Bowser's Castle :P.
This looks pretty cool. I tried working with lunarmagic before and its pretty easy, theres a nice palette editor in there you can use too.
Small update on world 1 and like I said the castle is only there for testing reasons, After I get all the levels Situated I will be working on the world map Events to get to the new levels and such I will do each world 1 by one. Small Reference can anybody guess where the locked pipe leads to? :P
My guesses are: a) That world's secret level; b) That world's castle; c) A path to a bonus world. (like Star World.) -Nick O.
