"If you read this, you'll understand my software's world"
Sonic The Hedgehog
Comic Story (lit. "Story Comic") Vol.1
In the span of 3 issues, the comic story of the light-action game "Sonic The Hedgehog"
will be introduced.
Volume 1: Sonic, who got jammed up at the concert by the evil Dr. Eggman's sinister plan, snapping outburst of rage~!
(( lit. "from this issue, 3 times in(over, spanning), light-action game (Sonic The Hedgehog)'s game story, using comic edition(version), will be introduced (explanatory tone/nuance) ... Story 1, Villian Dr. Eggman's evil plan , caused(makes) to jam(jamble) the concert , puttsun'ing (like, blood vessel popping , snapping kind of sound effect lol) raging outburst ))
"My name's Sonic.
Ya' call me a "hedgehog" in your language, huh?
I play the main character in a game that'll be comin' soon.
So, for everyone waitin' on me, let's introduce some of the game's story with this manga.
Full power, let's GO!"
(( lit. My name, Sonic. Using you (all of you)'s language, "hedgehog" calling(as) eh?. I, as main character(hero), the game that I become active role, soon(ly) will be made to launching(coming) (explanatory tone), and, to everyone (in the state of) expectantly waiting on my behalf, only a bit (of) game's story, using this manga, let's introduce (kind of sorrynotsorry tone if I'm not mistaken) というわけ gives a "that's the case" type of tone. (using) full throttle, full power, GanGan (large bell sound), GO (emphasized with force) ))
Nobody saw it.
The very peaceful South Island.
ANIMALS (background talking)
"What (is it)?"
"What (is it)?"
Zun Zun (like: "Thump")
"Kahahaha, outta' my way!!
Outta' my WAY!!"
"I'll take this island!!"
*Eggman uses ワシ (washi) here, which I believe is わし (washi), which is the way an old man would say わたし (watashi = "I, me"). He also uses ゾ + イ (zo + i) at the end of his sentences, which is a masculine way to strongly emphasize.
The way Sonic talks is really casual/slangy, which makes sense. He also will say "I, me" using オイラ (oira), which I believe is a variation of 俺(ore), which is a slangy/manly way to say "I, me"
He also says "Me / I" a lot, which is normal in English but probably kind of self-centred sounding in Japanese, I think.
What is the best way to update for you guys, should I just continue editing this post?
I can use Photoshop to go overtop of the Japanese speech bubbles in English if you would like.
The SFX would remain in Japanese though.
This will be a pretty slow process because I have other things on my plate.
Anyways, this is exciting for me. I've been studying Japanese diligently for the past few years and Sonic will be my first translation job, I hope I can do a good job for y'all !
I DO have a request, if possible. Is anyone able to get their hands on the Sonic Generations and Sonic Colors manga? And possibly knows what this manga with Metal Sonic is ?
Because Metal Sonic looks like a badass here.
