Subtitled only, but better than nothing.

Edit: 4Kids has started to upload the subtitled episodes to 4KidsTV's Youtube channel as well. First 5 are up as of this posting.

EDIT #2: Hulu now has up to episode 29. Youtube as of this writing, has the first 26 episodes uploaded.

EDIT #3: Hulu has all episodes of the first series uploaded ( 1 - 52 ). Youtube has up to atleast episode 39. 4Kids will begin releasing 53 - 78 starting on April 1st. I assume it'll be a weekly release.

Shame it only works in the United States. Not that I'm surprised though.

Awesome. I just hope they don't eventually pull this like they did with those Yu-Gi-Oh uncut episodes due to legal reasons with some of the voice actors.

Funny thing is if I recall correctly, Puto only went ahead with it since 4Kids plans seems to have halted. With this now in place, this doesn't seem to be an issue anymore. I also want to note that this is a legal way to viewing these, rather than an illegal method. The only problem with this is it is restricted to the United States. But for those who are in the United States should most certainly support this if they enjoyed the show. I'm just hoping that if Sonic X works out, that 4Kids will look into other shows as well. Like the original planned Yugioh GX and 5D's.

Heh. I just watched an episode, and the one thing that stood out in my mind was the theme song. I'm thinking it either didn't translate well AT ALL, or simply that the Japanese are batshit insane. I'm leaning toward the latter.

Looking at a translation from TSS, seems a 4kids fuck up.

Speaking of, is it just me or after the intro, the subtitles in Ep. 2 are out of sync?

Actually, now that 4Kids is finally putting up a licensed release, I'm done. No point in me continuing, really. Not going to try to compete with an official product.

The theme song is a shitload of japanese puns one after another. The song translates terribly. This is the translation I've been using. Not sure what 4Kids did, but the lyrics are so wacky that translations can vary wildly.

I'd still prefer a version that I can watch, this Hulu-only thing is useless to nearly the entire planet. Only the USA can use it. Sucks to hear Puto is stopping as a result, especially as he's not American. =/

Apparently Hulu was going to launch in the UK but shit fucked up due to being unable to get rights for shows due to SeeSaw launching.
In any case, it seems that 4Kids is fucking up with the subtitles and they'll probably fuck up elsewhere.

Eh, it's an honest mistake. I'm hoping they'll fix it soon.

In case it isn't obvious, I'm not pulling the episodes I already did. I simply won't be doing any more of them.

I'm hoping someone will manage to rip this. If not, I may consider continuing in the future (though not any time soon).

Okay, thanks for the explanation. As it stands, it's pretty damn funny to read. I wonder how badly they fuck up our cartoon theme songs?

Well, most japanese songs aren't *that* wacky. Then again...

QUOTE ("Dragon Ball Z Japanese Opening - English translation")
If I ever find a dinosaur within an icicle, I wanna train it to ride a ball!

...but that's just Kageyama being his awesome self. He did Sonic X's opening too, which is probably why it's that wacky. Really, most japanese opening themes aren't as wacky as Sonic Drive.

No, you're right. Most are pretty mundane. But I think it's when they're wacky that they become memorable. Also, that DBZ quote is one of the most awesome quotes ever.
