Good god the Saturn's a bugbear to code on.

As fascinating as always, Jon's very good at these videos.

I find it fascinating to see how the processors are used across games. Many games just use one of the SH-2s. Virtua Fighter assigns a CPU to each fighter. The unreleased Micro Machines V3 was using the bloody CD controller to decompress graphics - I love it.

Cross referencing with another post:

So as an example, I remember walking into a GAME store in 1997 (this one if you're interested) and seeing close-up, 3D models of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles running aimlessly in black rooms with no scenery in an effort to promote Sonic R (aka "this is what the running animation looks like" and nothing else).

There are clues that suggest I'm not mis-remembering things:

but I haven't found any concrete evidence. And yet I'm certain I saw it. And even if multiple people on these boards back me up, without footage it may never be fully proven.

As pointed out by wiki user Tongara:

(first few seconds)

These models - same as those Jon demonstrated? I'm not great at counting polygons.

Wow, never seen that before!

But you might also be thinking of the Sega Flash Vol 7 Sonic R trailer.
