Why would that be? Is there a performance penalty for having unused code and sprites in the project?

Sonic Worlds' features are so interconnected and engine structure, I dare say, is so convoluted that it is impossible to strip down SW to the basic engine or at the very least not worth the effort.

I like how you don't miss any chance to push your "construct is better than MMF" agenda. Especially considering that my post had nothing to do with that at all.

I'd like to add to this that despite all the deserved or undeserved flame MMF2 gets, it is the single biggest platform where most fan and non-fan games are made and actually completed.
Not many platforms and engines can say the same.

I first of all don't mind about the way in which things are built, I have always used Clickteam products, and I have looked at Construct. So I haven't any opinion one way or the other.

But the point I was trying to make (without the intention of creating an argument) is that if I wanted to create a game with it's own gameplay elements (so no springs, preset characters, bosses, gimmicks) but I would love to have slopes and that 360 degree engine it would be hard to find, simply because the engine that has been refined for MMF2 has a lot of extras - which makes sense its a Sonic engine not a 360 movement engine.

That was all I commented on the engine for construct being interesting because at this moment in time (and much like other engines in the past) it is just the movement no gimmicks - which is what interests me now over a premade Sonic fan game package.

Edit: Oh Winterhell, the reason I would want to remove things as apposed to leave them there and build upon them is purely down to the fact I am a neat freak. I like having things at hand I want, and there is a lot in Sonic Worlds that I don't wish to use. Not sure if would effect performance, but you can tell a lot has gone into organisation of the Worlds engine, and if were wanting to make a game of my own I would like to carry on that organisation, heh heh.
