I just gave Sonic 2 the soundtrack of the Japanese Sonic CD, and played the game the whole way through, to really test the program.
Bugs:
Whenever I get an extra life, it plays the 1Up tune I gave it about 5 times.
Getting an extra life tends to make the music of the level very glitchy afterwards.
Otherwise, absolutely fantastic! Having only 1 bug, the 1up, is an amazing achievement, and you should be very proud of what you have done.
I havent had so much fun playing Sonic in a while.

I managed to fix the 1up bug in my hack but for some reason nobody else seems to be able to get it working properly when I tell them how to do it. Sometimes the 1up music causes the SFX to crash as well for some unknown reason. The fix I did was to leave the old 1up music in by removing all of the music pointers except the one for the 1up, but Qjimbo couldn't seem to get it working when he tried it.

The reason the music crashes if you disable the 1up is because it is special. It saves the current position of the last playing song in RAM and plays the 1up sound, then plays the last song again. Since disabling 1up disables this special routine, it messes up. You need to find a way to sync the mp3's with this routine in order to fix the bug.

Or just keep the 1up music in the game, and put in any 4 sec long mp3 file (as long as it isn't blank). That's all I did and it works fine, except the music doesn't carry on where it left off. It just restarts instead.

Any chance of a program like this for Sonic 1, 3, or Sonic and Knuckles? Downloaded this one and put some of the the Hedgehog Heaven remixes to it, really awesome.

I was made one because of this thing

But yeah I really need to fix a few bugs and add a feature I've had requested:
a) Fix BigEndian/LittleEndian Mixup in Gens RAM to fully stop 1up bug
b) Fix End score music playing over the top bug (which should hopefully dissapear when a is fixed)
c) Add Feature to allow filenames to be 01*.mp3,02*.mp3 etc. so you can have 01-EHZ.mp3 or whatever. Not sure where to begin on this but I'll get working on it asap.

This... would be SO blasted cool if it would download properly and not show up as an invalid archive when I try to open the WinZIP. O-o

That's because Digibase sucks. If you try to use IE to download something from them, it'll fail.

I think AOL is blocked by Digibase as well. I'm not positive about that though.

that's why I've decided that as soon as I can get the cash capital, I'm gonna move RSN far far away from Digibase, hopefully in another galaxy

*Plays Star Wars Opening Theme on her Recorder Flute* Gomen, couldn't resist making the joke. *snickers*
Meh, that's my bad luck. I'd like to get FireFox, but Sugah Mama will only let me use Internet Explorer. she's afraid it'll screw up the computer if we download another internet browsing tool. Then again, Zira (Yes, my Computer has a name) isn't exactly the most reliable computer, and sometimes completely normal programs can screw her up, so maybe it's best if I don't invoke Murphy's Law and stick with Internet Explorer. O-o

Thanks for directing me to the mirror site, QJimbo. ^^ I have the tool now, and it works great, all except when I revved up a spin dash and pressed the button 3 times to do so, it all froze except the music. O-o of course, then again, it was in the submerged-in-water Emerald Hill Zone with a Hidden Palace pallette that I was experimenting with. Anyway, anyone wanna see the playlist I got so far? ^^
Emerald Hill: "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" from the Lilo and Stitch Soundtrack (Hey, it sounded Islandy! Don't gimme that look! )
Chemical Plant: "This Machine" by Julien-K
Aquatic Ruin: "Fake Wings" from the .Hack//SIGN OST
Casino Night: "Escape from the City" by Crush 40
Mystic Cave: "Throw it all Away" by Everett Bradley
Oil Ocean: "Aura's Theme" from the .Hack//SIGN OST
Sky Chase: "Sonic Drive" by Hironobu Kageyama & Hideaki Takatori
Wing Fortress: "Supporting Me:Theme of the Biolizard"
Death Egg: "What I'm Made Of" by Crush 40 (My all time fave song! ^^ )
Hidden Palace: "Yakosuke wa Iriani (No Need to Promise)" from the Vision of Escaflowne OST

A little something to add... When you are disabling in game music manually, make sure to disable the continue music pointer at offset $F0000. It's seperate from the rest because there isn't enough room in the primary music bank at $F8000.
