Why that? European format is Day/Month/Year, it would work too. But I guess we're thinking this one too much.

Though the first date is 4/ /, which is most likely 4/1/16. So that would indicate that both dates are the American format... unless Ruby was using two date formats to throw people for a loop.

But seriously, the only Sonic game that came out in 2000 was Sonic Shuffle, wasn't it? I guess there was also Sonic Cafe for mobile... but I personally wouldn't want something related to either of these things.

Can they PLEASE just not mention Sonic 06 in general?
literally every time they end up offending ME. it shouldn't work that way. they shouldn't be shooting one specific game in the foot but pretend everything else is just perfect.
having some level of self-awareness is perfectly fine, and a little refreshing, but when you start hurting a very small unvocal minority, you're just killing a dead horse.

 

They're poking fun at a game that is received by many as horrible and was almost a franchise killer. If you like the game fine, but this isn't something that you should be taking as some sort of personal attack.

 

You're offended cause they like to mock the worst game in the series?

 

If they want to restore the brand's integrity, this is exactly what they need to be doing. This attitude helps establish "bad" as a misstep for the franchise rather than the norm.

 

Listen, you can be a fan of any game in the series, and that's cool, but if the game is NOTORIOUS for having almost everything go wrong in it, it's going to get mocked.

06 fans, for being the adorable little hipsters of the franchise, surely need to have this in their heads.
