I'm freaking loving the art style in this current arc. But I plan on dropping the comic after this Genesis arc.
He's actually a character from some 20 years ago, Sonic # 16. He was the leader of Knothole's Spy Network, but that was disbanded eventually, so people are curious as to what'll be his role here. Some suspect he's a spy to the Battle Bird Armada. I hope not, that'd be Geoffrey all over again :P
Oh I see...He is that Owl. With the tootsie pop parody. I would like it if he was a spy. That would be cool since the BBA has been sprinkled around in the comic forever until they finally showed up.
Archie replaced their derp description for #232 and gave #35 its descripton: Yay Ultra Sonic in classic sega JP art style!
The art isn't amazing, but they chose some really good colors for the cover and all the panels to this issue, so far.
So here I am. I had been buying and reading the comic regularly since issue 53, and Titan Tails was the first thing that really made me go "...What." Never mind Ron Lim's art, or that page of Knuckles and Julie-Su kissing that everyone always posts. Those were tolerable in my mind. Titan Tails was unforgivable though. I was even still writing letters in to them at that point, and I remember saying that Titan Tails looked "dorky", that they "should have gotten someone else to draw him", and "I can't believe that THAT was the Chosen One." The whole Chosen One plot point had been something they were flaunting since I had started reading the comics as a little kid. A little part of me died that day. Oh well. It's funny looking back on it now.
We have an update for the issue 232 cover. The ? at the bottom right corner is: Metal Sally. Well isn't that fun
