The next Sonic games are "Sonic Mega Collection +" (PS2), Sonic Heroes (PC), and Sonic DS (NDS). So no, there is no Sonic and Shadow game.

I actually liked Sonic Advance 3 okay, but not as good as the other two. Out of all three of the Sonic Advance games, I have to say that I like the first one the best. It seemed more like the original Genesis games and had the same classic feel to it. Sonic Advance 2 seemed like a 2D Sonic Adventure game to me, and the third one seems some-what like Knuckles' Chaotix, but with bad music.

 

NDS stands for Nintendo DS which is Nintendo's upcoming portable game system. Sonic DS is of course, a game that's coming to the system.

No he isn't. Sega also has a picture of someone playing that game at E3. They were playing Spring Yard Zone Act 1 in Sonic 1.

 

So is this Mega Collection + going to be an exact port of the NGC version or will it have more stuff added? (Basically I'm referring to Spindash in S1 and SCD.)

 

It's just a port from the GC version. There will be nothing special or the people who support GC might complain out of control so it will be the same

 

I really dought Sonic CD would be in SMC+. If Sega couldn't make a decent Sega CD emulator for GameCube, there is even less of a chance of them making a decent one for PS2.

 

Why is it called +?

It isn't anything new.

And god it is annoying to get all these Sonic ROM collections that are just the same as our ROMs. No beta or special additions

 

To make it sound cooler

Well, since they just marketed Sonic Heroes to the other systems, why not make more money by reselling old games to other systems. Easy come, easy go. It is frustrating to see what's become of them.

This coming from someone who hasn't even played Sonic CD.

And the "+" in SMC + most likely indicates more art, such as Sonic Advance 3 and Sonic Heroes art.

 

If their emulation doesn't suck ass this time around, and they include Sonic CD, then I *might* just buy it.

 

I'll be shocked if Sega actually adds Sonic CD or at least Knuckles Chaotix to SMC+.
