Haha, this reminds me that I still haven't done anything for the water level yet. I have a couple ideas but they're all highly derivative.
Wow, amazing how it went from a debate about the channels used in musics to a pointless argument... Also, it's a matter of tastes so you guys shouldn't try to continue to force the others to accept your point of view about how the number of channels used can influence the quality of the musics if it leads to.....well, nowhere Aquaslash, please consider trashing this
yeah, that was uncalled for really, he's brilliant and creating level concepts and is more than capable enough to generate that into a Sonic based zone whilst executing it brilliantly, as seen from his previous designs, I'd say he's probably got something special coming along that won't cut accross as boring. in any case Jay, I'm looking forward to seeing what your latest designs at work are going to be like =)
Hahaha, this ol' hack. I still have a build you sent me in 2007 on my computer somewhere. I'm assuming not much has been done on it as of recent, since the last update of the first post is January.... EDIT: nevermind LOL.
It sounds like both Ring Land songs are 0603 - so, Oerg shouldn't be having a problem with them. In regards to the first song, the only suggestion I can make is making more use of the PSG channels. And adding pitch bends! :v:
Judging by his comment, one can assume it's a drop kick move. If that's the case, that sounds pretty awesome.
Nice. I love the public release because it has Scourge in it. I've been waiting Eons for this thing to be released. Primarily after I heard about Scourge. Its another reason why I scrapped my old and shitty Scourge in S3K hack. The hack I made is still on my hard drive for the fact it was my first Sonic hack, even if it is a shitty one. This hack though, I love it. Mainly because it has some nice features such as the Special Stages functions. I also like the very accurate Sega CD Model 2 Bios music port. Its awesome!
I have to say that is so much better than the old title screen simply because it diverts from the usual logo used in every Sonic game/hack. Only other things I have to say about this hack are possibly change the pixel art for the characters on the character select screen, and get rid of Scourge's weird smile thing. Creepy looking
Mixed to whether the title looks better without the characters, neverless that's some nice texture detail.
There is one very small thing bothering me. The E in "THE" looks odd. Proportion seems a bit off. Otherwise, I really like this! It's different, but it's a good different.
