Yeah that's pretty interesting. Are mobile phones really that advanced these days that one could handle a game like Unleashed? I'm not a heavy phone gamer, so I don't know what's out there.

 

So not a direct port, then

By "phones" I worry that we will get some terrible game made for real mobiles and not smart phones.

iPhone sonic game in any shape I just hope turns out fun to play, I still think sega will stick sonic 1 on there via emulation to milk it even more.

Now it all depends on how the werehog controls...

 

I've worked at Gameloft before, and I can confirm that they are shit.

 

At first I was like "bullshit the Iphone can't handle a game like Unleashed," but now it just sounds like a cheesy dumbed down 2d version of the game. Probably won't be worth getting excited or caring about. I can see it using Sonic Advance sprites or low polygon Sonic Rush models.

 

I don't see any mention of Iphone anywhere apart from what Gameloft make, but then again they just make mobile games too.

It's just going to be a java mobile game like M&S was. :P

 

Gameloft have made lots of iPhone games so far, asphalt 4, ferrari challenge and some other TD games and such, they seem to love the device.

 

They also do a lot of Mobile games and have been for sevreral years.

 

Wonder why? It's not like it's an incredibly powerful media device with great 3D and 2D game functionality as well as advanced frameworks specifically designed for game development.

...wait.

 

Hmm, hopefully this sees its way to the ipod touch or to American phones. Either way I'm playing this.

This is promising...Let's hope this is a good game, made for good phones that can handle shit and not Java garbage for those old ass phones.

 

Gameloft games always turn out to be bad. They always look good at first, but in fact they're like... "unfinished"
