  1. For levels where there's alot of sky, it could have it so if you fell into the sky, it'd cause you to lose the shield rather than die, and fall back to earth.

    One thing I'd like to see return is the Silver Ring monitor from Chaotix. That was simple item, but so darn handy.

    Final BOss from S3 didn't have reduced gravity, or none at all, even though they're in Space, and Sonic is breathing. Get my point?

    Oh, and I was starting on a level design, I'll post it when I'm finished.

    Alright, so here's the question.. If this is happening, shouldn't there be level ideas before we start jumping into needing art for those levels? Sprites and such are one thing, but if this is gonna happen, people need to know what they're gonna work with.

    For levels, I'd love to see transitions that are very natural. Something like Level 1 Act 1, standard art, Level 1 Act 2, an imporvement/reworking of the art, Level 2 Act 1, from Act 2 of previous to the current level's art, etc.
    3 Acts would work better with that though.

    I was wondering what could be done with that overworld thing ala Sonic Crackers. Though, that may actually break up what would otherwise be seamless gameplay. I found myself VERY irritated by Rush/Rush Adventure becuase of that.

    I liked that. The game got randomised and became pretty unlinear which was fun. Though my only annoyance in that was when I wanted one level and it would pick the same one over and over.. 5 acts is way too many XD

    ..nvm, didn't load correcltly.

    Yes, those help a lot.

    EDIT 2: Death Edd was already rebuilt once. I think the Undergoround base would be better, they used it (sort of) in Final Egg Zone in Adventure.

    Also, now that I think about it.. I also see where a basic plot idea would help with zone order and thus transitions.. So take that for what you will.

    Reffering to the post about the Eggman monitor doing more than just damage, it got me thinking.


    What about a MindFuck monitor?
    Like one that when you hit it, makes the screen look like a combination of Labyrinth Rev 01 effects and Sonc n tals in paynt.

    That, plus damage, and distorting the noise.


    I mean, if I got that, it would probably mess me up.

    What about the Psycho Mantis monitor? Makes the screen go black with only Hiedo 2 written in the top right, with no sound. =P
