I think this mag is where Megacosm got the scans (if you notice, on both pics, there's a slight bit of the blue border at the bottom, and also there's the part where the "O" blends into the background on Sonic's life icon, that looks identical).

I hope this proto has more news on Death Egg since I found it was supposed to have Tagging like Hill Top zone does but it was taken out so I am really curious if that may be the super Secret zone. If you want to see what I mean, look below.

Forgive my ignorance, but tagging?

 

Doesn't it do that in the final version? Taking Chemical Plant's graphics and adding its own, similarly to what Hill Top does?

 

Actually the only graphics that are added, I think they could be in chemical plant zone, is the converbelts in the background(I think there are some there, its been a while Since I played it.) other than that Death Egg really only has a diffrent pallete, the two bosses and a scrolling background.

 

But that background is not in CPZ, isn't it?

 

Actually, it is. The stars are completely visible in the VRAM of CPZ, and the mappings are in there as well.

I was actually wondering about that DEZ thing myself... Perhaps this beta could show the answer... or not. =P

 

Actually, I believe I saw the space background in its tiles when using ESE, however I don't know about SonED and how reliable ESE is with tile listings.

 

Well, we have pictures of a beta with Wood Zone out of the level select, yet accessible so maybe....

I felt horrible when I bought Suikoden II for $120 (worth every penny). Sorry, but I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I donated.

 

I wouldn't mind donating but I don't have a credit card, as far as I know you can't send money via bank transfer outside of New Zealand/Aussie, anyone know a way?

 

Too bad that you have a time limit, I would be so glad to donate but I have no money at all right now, while I'm probably going to get some in a few months.
