Need opinions & suggestions

I don't like the black and yellow sign too much. The rest is awseome.

 

It'd be great if you added one more layer of shading to those bricks -- from that final gray, to black. It'd look a lot better IMO if you tried that.

The sign looks cool, but oddly out of place.

 

It all looks pretty damn nice, but that sky is awesome.

 

Quite nice! But I'd really try to avoid any black (or too dark) outlines for the scenery. Here's a quick example of what I mean.

 

Is this the new Rooftop Zone? If it is, this is a massive improvement on the backround, and I am glad you decided to keep the level.

One thing though, would it be possible to get more colorful lights ni the backround to liven it up a bit? The buildings are nice, but I guess I got spoiled by playing Casino and Carnival night zones, I'd like more color. All in all though it's really good looking, the stars are the best part.

Edit: Perhaps putting lights on the ground at the bases of the buildings (and between them) would be a good idea, it looks sort of blank down there.

Agreed. When I first saw it, I thought of a mix between Ristar, Long Version's Genocide City art, and SLZ (the random sign). But like the others stated, don't use black outlines for the outlining and re/move the sign.

Other than that, very impressive. Keep it up!

Though it almost seems as if the building lack detail compared to everything else. Perhaps add some more pixel shading, so the buildings seems rougher and more detailed?

The sign does seem out of place unless it I used as some lever or device. If it's just scenery, then it's definetly out of place.

 

leave the background its beautiful. Of course theres ALWAYS going to be room for improvement.

 

It's really pretty Rika, but I would very much like to see some light activity around the 'foreground' buildings. (Meaning the blueish ones, and black ones.) Sorry if I'm not making much sense..

 

Am I the only one who likes the sign? Perhaps I could put it together with a Quickman sprite or something and use it for an avatar.

As for ICEknight's suggestion, I think the middle section of that beam needs that dark line to distinguish it - here's my suggestion.

 

If the sign was more dirty and grungy looking it might fit better, it's just too bnright as is.

 

I think it looks good, myself.
