Sonic Rush Adventure would like a word with you!

  2. I'm trying to do the hot dog mission for the daytime Mazurai stage. For the third time trial. I think it's pretty much impossible to do.

Is Eggmanland 360/PS3 REALLY that hard? What sort of obstacles are there? This is a shift from the Wii version, which looks pretty short and easy. This could be interesting.

  4. I'm sorry my post didn't make the 500 word requirement professor. My uh.. dog died. Can I have an extension?

    Let me summarize the game:
    Bad gameplay
    Bad, generic music
    Good graphics
    Sonic

So why are you guys liking it so much? Are you just Sonic-starved like when Heroes first came out and everyone liked that?

Maybe you should... you know.. PLAY it first.

And no Shadow? Hell now it's sold. I'm getting the PS3/360 version even though I don't even HAVE a system to play it on.

Have you played the game grap? Because 2 out of 4 things on your list are wrong. (hint hint the first two)

Wait, Quexinos, are you saying the graphics are bad and SONIC ISN'T IN IT?

That would mean the game doesn't have good graphics when, clearly, it does.

But he did get the music part wrong. Not sure yet about the gameplay since I haven't played the 360/PS3 version. Must have played the Wii version. In that case, I don't blame him.

yeah yeah sorry I fixed it. I gotta learn to proof read my posts XD

In fact I think I'm gonna go play me some daytime levels now. Rooftop run is the shit. I've played through that level so many times now andd I'm STILL finding new paths to take.

The level is one giant amusement park/base of complete and utter doom. You start off as Sonic, grind some rails (which are hard to see due to the fact that you're going so fast and they blend in with the night sky), and do some other stuff invovling 2D platforming with platforms that push you off the edge if you don't time yourself right. Then you switch to the werehog. You have to do a bunch of insanely hard platforming. Back to Sonic again. You ride on a roller coaster, and the front part comes off and you do some more sledding, although this one's much harder than Holoska's sled. Then you're WereSonic again. Have to do some timed moving around some fire torches or you'll fall to your death. Then you slide on your ass a bit, having to avoid fans. You keep doing this until you reach a room with a bunch of Robotnik's robots. Don't try to kill them, they just respawn. Find the switch and progress. You'll have to do this again later. Eventually you get to the last two rooms. First room you fight some wizards, Eggman robots, and one of those giant titan things with the club. Final room you fight some wizards and TWO of those giant titan things, which I narrowly escaped from dying.

That's about it. Over all the level took me 45 minutes to complete. So many times I was on the verge of game over, but at certain points they are very generous with lives. I forgot some parts btw.

That sounds awesome, it can't be much harder than Bionic Commando: Rearmed though can it?

Wouldn't know, I've never played it. But this level is still one of the hardest things I've ever beaten in any game.

    Somehow I got a rank B :P

    :)

That's a list. That is not reasoning, that is not justification—that is not anything. If you expect your opinion to hold any merit, you need to explain yourself. Did you play the game? Can you justify, through example, how the gameplay is bad? Can you explain what exactly makes the music generic? Can you elaborate on any of those opinions? I mean, I assume you're trying to make a point that these are fundamental issues with the game in general, but you're... not making a point. You're just looking like you came into this topic to shit on everyone and not put any effort into it.

I mean, seriously, what the hell? I hate when I see people do crap like this. If you can't elaborate on your opinion, then there's no use stating it.

I like a lot of the music, but they needed to do more with the night battle theme. The night level music is too good not to just make variations on each one the battle theme for that night level.

Unless that part of the music is completely different in the 360/PS3 version.

The rest of the music is okay but it's just...more of the same, nothing really new from Sonic 06 in general, though perhaps cleaner, more enjoyable, and more upbeat. Holoska's music for example is what Wave Ocean should have been like.

I think I said before though that Nanba and especially Ohtani tend to overuse the amen break for percussion in these songs though, and it has really got old at this point. At least it's not as big an issue for Spagonia's BGM.

I suppose that less then generic a more appropriate description for the night music would be "stuff that wouldn't be particularly out of place as music on the Weather Channel's Local on the 8s" as it's that sort of slow jazz. Still seeing as how bands like the Rippingtons have had influence on Sonic music (esp. Sonic CD) it's not inappropriate.

*- If <Wii, this statement is true. The Wii/PS2 version has terrible controls, and very bad level design, from what I have seen, and has a weakened version of the HHE (I think). If > 360, this statement is false. The 360 version, and, hopefully, the PS3 version, have nice fluiency and many paths for Sonic, and fun combat and platforming with Werehog, and makes full use of the HHE.
**- Statement is false alltogether. The music is very catchy and fits well with the stages they are assigned to.
***- These statements are true alltogether. Both of the versions have Sonic, and both of the versions have as good graphics as their systems are capable of.

  17. What are you on? The gameplay is great (daytime), and the music is astounding (quite the opposite from generic.)

I have tried a couple X360 iso extractors to try to get at the data in Unleashed, but none of them work.

Apparently someone was successful -- what extractor was used?

  19. Yes, I've played it. Getting DREs so I can't get further than the first wolf level. The gameplay feels... floaty. I don't feel like I'm completely controlling my character at any one point. In the daytime areas you're running fast and barely doing anything, when you try to the game completely throws you off to the side. How is that enjoyable?

    hi

Recently I had the oportunity to play the PS2 version due to a friend who brought his console to my home. This is my opinion. :)

personally the gameplay is excellent, both day and night. Is very good and really addictive. During the night I found it a bit strange in the beggining, but due to the excessive amount of tutorials, I could easily deal with the other stages. Sad encounter that are more werehogs-stages than hedgehog-stages, but never mind, the game is good. ;)

the only thing I do not like was the lots of loading-times, especially in the tutorials, where the stage was shorter than the load-time, but then I ended up getting used of that. About the world, not having exploration is a little sad. But personally, I prefer the options, instead of running around the town looking for someone to talk. At least the history is more fast in that way. And speaking of that, I found the history good, with good animations, although chip is a little annoying with some of his dialogs, and even less when he interrupt in the middle of the action to tell me that I can jump with X. :argh:

Besides that, the game is good, and I would have liked to finish it  . I will see some day if I can have the opportunity to test the Next-gen versions, but here in Chile recently was announced the release of the Wii version. Now I have to wait.
