Thanks for your comment. I will wait to see what others do. I could make an option for people to pick which font they would like, but that would take more ROM space, and probably pointless =P Some of it is, like the shells and anchor and clouds, but the sand was done by StephenUK, and some others are a bit from Advance. You're not the first to point out, "is that Puggsy?" =P Like said, I can't draw for shit. I can't edit art for shit too. Whenever I try my own art, it never turns out professional like. Also, thanks for the comments on the new level. I will start putting in slops and curves soon, and add a bit more detail to the background too.
Definately B. The title card font from A looks like it was written in crayon. It doesn't matter if you think you suck at art; everything looks pretty top notch. If you wanna talk about bad art, I wouldn't really condone the bricks you used as the wall design. Otherwise, the only thing I would suggest is to not use the italic Sonic 2 HUD, but instead use the straight one as in Sonic 1 / 3K. Just a suggestion though. Otherwise, I'm loving how this looks.
Though I dislike the use of Comic Sans over actually searching for another less overused font, I think it fits more in with the sort of Sonic-like style I see this game having over the more dare I say boring second font. Why not look at doing something 'comic'-like without using Comic Sans.
I keep meaning to change the numbers of the HUD, but something new keeps popping into my head and I get on with that instead =P That's not what other members have been telling me =P I don't know why, but as soon as I saw that edited font of yours, "Only Fools and Horses" popped into my head. No idea why, I am strange =P
Two things on show here: 1) My new boss. I did it myself (my girlfriend brother help draw Eggman's pod, but except that, I did the rest of the coding and etc). You have to hit the red balls to turn them into yellow, then if they hit the boss, he gets hurt. The red balls and spike balls do not affect Eggman. Run into any ball and it will hurt you, hit he spikeball, even when jumping, it will hurt you. After 8 hits, pinch-mode is in effect. Things will start to get faster, and more balls will be shot at you. After another 8 hits, you defeated Eggman. 2) New DAC driver by ValleyBell. It can play DAC's and PCM's, even during gameplay. The sad thing is this might well be true. Besides that, I fully support your latest video; custom bosses and fancy things with sound drivers are always great. Robotnik Breakout is a pretty great idea for a boss! Do you have any others in mind?
Yes, I have other bosses in mind. I have 3 in mind. There will be some bosses from Sonic 2 I will leave in the game, but they all have been edited to include Pinch Mode. Intriguing, What font do you have in mind?

Yesterday I agreed to help out with the art so that RHS can focus more on the programming side of things and worry less about making them look nice, as he isn't very confident when it comes to art editing. I've started by cleaning up the first zone, tidying up the existing art and adding new art in to try and vary it up a bit, as it was pretty bland. Below are a couple of early WIP screenshots, comments and criticism welcome.

You're on board now? Now I'm looking forward to this even more. Beach looks nicer, I like what you did with the sky but its hard to tell without comparison screenshots. Mind posting the old version and your version side by side? Also I eagerly await seeing new Chaos Angel art. I loved it in SAdv3, yet just putting it into a genesis game didn't look quite right. \/ Much better, everything fits together more.
