    whoa

I love all the detail put into the sprite animation; it's very fluid. :)

It's up to Markey the Jester to get his balls back! =P

But seriously, this is really good for a Genesis intro made from scratch. Kinda reminds me of the Ristar intro, with the antagonist looming overhead and darkening the sky, and the main character sleeping soundly until his glass dome breaks. I'd like to see/know how the game works some time, since it looks like the rocket-feet are going to be a big part of the gameplay. :)

making cool music no one gives a shit about
Dude, that looks sick. If you showed this to me and told me it's from an unreleased Sega game from 1994, I'd believe you.

Marvolece!, simple magnificent. I mean if I didn't know about hacking I would have thought this was a game as good as sega would have created. You've got me hyped about this, you never disappoint do you.

Special Stage editor in the works:
(Similar layout to Mercury's. I figured it was the most logical. And I hate floating palettes)

It works with the disassembly special stage files.

The current golden features are Selecting and 'Shifting the page'.
If that image looks too big, don't worry, the program automatically fills the screen (Windowed, though).

I also tried adding zoom, but failed.

I'm making this while Sonic Maker isn't demanding.

Copy pasting works, and it works if you want to copy from one window to another, but pasting to a text file creates a load of junk. Copying that text however, will copy the selection correctly.

EDIT: Behold the power of Ctrl C/V:

    Nah, I prefer Sonic 1.

    + - Seriously, I like Sonic 1 best, MZ ftw! *I runs*

Anyway, I just have to put the icing on the cake, and it's ready to serve (Shape tools? Or am I thinking silly?).

No, not a silly idea at all, infact that could help to reduce the time to make a circle or square shape, I say (in my own opinion) if you can, then go for it.

So I made a vid (dunno why it turned out so small, probably due to Movie Maker):

    Wadda ya think?

Too grey. Add some color, then I might be able to give a decent opinion.

They look nice and three dimentional, lots of detail too, though what's it for? (If you say a hack or megadrive game I will love you =P)

Not where I want to be.
Sonic (?): Coming summer of 2055...?
Work some blues into there or something. Grey is a difficult color to work with, because everything ends up looking flat and 2-dimensional.

On the contrary! Depth perception is almost entirely dependent on value over color. Observe. Working in greyscale dramatically simplifies things by limiting your focus to the bare essentials, professional concept artists do it all the time. It'll take me about 30 seconds to punch the color in later. Figured this would be enough for some feedback, but perhaps not!

Anyway, this isn't really meant for anything, I'm just fucking around- the palette will probably exceed 64 colors since I'm shooting for something more Chaotix, though. Hey Marky, I'm sort of afraid to ask now because I've never actually finished anything in life, but, uh, if I actually did finish this and you need an extra artist or whatever, that'd be cool.

No. It wasn't enough for feedback. You probably should have specified that you deliberately left out color to focus on the form.

It looks alright. I'd need more context to make a fair judgement. Right now it looks bland and boring, but then so do some backgrounds in Sonic 3 when taken out of context.
