Sonic & Knuckles XBLA Achievements Revealed

The most easy set of achievements out of them all, I will grab it anyway since I own the first 3 and can use the lock-on stuff but after all this I think I'm fully set for my retro sonic fix for a long time (especially if the next xbox allows all xbla games to run on it from launch)

 

I completed it but it's shit... they won't even let you re-play your game, removing one of the best sonic 3 features -> SAVED GAMES.

It's just a shitty savestate emulator shit.

Achievements? Easy as hell....I hope they change the achievements or at least let you access the 3k save menu

 

I wonder, do any of the debug-codes still work?

 

Are you serious? Even Gens remembers the in-game savestates after closing and opening the ROM.

Yeah in the xbla sonic 3 game there is no SRAM support.
the sega vontage menu just pops up when the title screen appears

 

Geez, it's like Mega Collection (+) never existed, hearing the talk of some of these other re-releases.

Just out of curiosity, I wonder if they're going to do anything to that level select cheat that you can only do when you press a button combo when hanging from those hanging platforms (in both Mushroom Hill and Angel Island Zone). Unless they're not going to do a demo for Sonic & Knuckles, but they HAVE to according to Xbox Live Arcade's standards.

Wonder if they'll have the brain capacity to patch it?

 

Tell me if I am wrong but doesn't the pole hanging cheat only work in s3k? or is it a SK cheat which follows onto the lockon with s3.

Still keep thinking about no ram save slots, s3k with savestates is just not the same, how am I supose to replay earlier stages as hyper, sega?

EDIT: Actually, it would work quite well. All it would do is if you press start, you'd just back to their stupid menu screen. The Start button is tied to it, afterall.

that's right you need to press start, so they wont patch it because they don't need to...

Pulling off the level select code for Sonic 3 is an achievement in itself.

What, you mean figuring it out or actually doing it? Because putting it in is simple (if a bit more time consuming than necessary).

 

Are you still thinking about the S3&K level select? The one in the standalone S3 is different- you have to input a code during the sequence right before the title screen shows up. You barely have any time to do it.

I think I've only been able to pull it off say, once or twice.
